About Us

IVAA is an independent, non‑governmental, non‑profit association with consultative status. With support from Thailand’s Ministry of Culture and the Contemporary Art Promotion Fund, and in collaboration with the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, we represent practitioners across painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, ceramics, new media, and interdisciplinary work—alongside educators, curators, collectors, and partner organizations.

Our purpose

is to equip Thai artists and art organizations with the resources and platforms to thrive at home and abroad. We deliver:

Seminars & workshops that build practical skills and professional knowledge.
Exhibitions & open calls that connect artists with audiences and collectors.
Information exchange & cooperation
Archives & publications that document Thai art stories and careers.

We welcome creators at every stage—from emerging talents and students to established professionals—as well as adult learners and community participants.

We believe that when excellent work is made visible, the whole ecosystem benefits: visitors, enthusiasts, and collectors gain access to strong art, and Thailand’s art scene grows in depth and confidence. Our recurring exhibition platform—now in its eighteenth edition—brings together national awardees, senior figures, renowned names, rising artists, and international guests, showcasing hundreds of works to honor creators and engage the public.

IVAA welcomes artists and non‑artists alike—creators, educators, curators, collectors, researchers, andsupporters. Join us to learn, exhibit, mentor, and build lasting bridges for Thai visual arts.
